DDG is delighted to confirm that we have negotiated a move to Derby County for former Bradford City U23 Goalkeeper and Captain George Sykes-Kenworthy.
The deal was announced by the Championship side on Transfer Deadline Day and George was immediately travelling with the U23s squad to the Premier League 2 Division One fixture v Chelsea at the west London Cobham training facility…

George began as a schoolboy at Bradford City, earning a scholarship at fifteen, and a two-year professional contract at seventeen.
He was Bradford City U18s and U23s captain and the “Young Player of the Year” in his last two season’s. He made his 1st team debut at Bradford last season.
During his time at Bradford City he was called up for the England Goalkeeper Camp at St Georges Park, and the club announced that they had turned down a substantial offer from a named Premier League Club around the same time as offering him an early professional contract.
George played on loan for Conference Guiseley side in 2019/20 making a well documented ‘miracle save’ against York City…
He has an endorsement deal with AB1 Gloves, the company owned by former Bosnian international and Chelsea, Stoke City and Bournemouth ‘keeper Asmir Begovic.
At just twenty -one years of age, George has been with DDG since the age of sixteen, he commented that “I couldn’t be happier with this new opportunity”
